Our Story
Proudly unpretentious since 1986
Obie's doesn't have flashy billboards. No radio ads, no slick marketing. Just homemade dough mixed fresh every day, hand-chopped vegetables, and an amount of toppings generous enough to make you wonder if there's crust underneath. There is. It's incredible.
Since 1986, Darrel and Rhonda Moses have been running this place out of Jefferson City's Apache Flats — the same west side neighborhood, the same brick oven, the same commitment to doing it right. Customers have come back for decades. One loyal fan recently marked 26 years. Hotel staff tell their guests. Travelers drive past other pizza places just to get here.
"I moved from Chicago five weeks ago. Tried many pizzas — by far this is one of the best thin crust pies ever. Don't judge a book by its cover." — Mike L., Google Reviews
The name? Darrel's nickname comes from Newhart — the "other brother Darryl." Other Brother = OB = Obie. It suits the place perfectly: honest, a little quirky, and genuinely beloved.
